Nature-Inspired Learning

Join the Wild Earth Wonder After School Club! Play, explore, create and get your hands dirty. We love nothing more than forts in the tree house and fresh hand-foraged herbal teas to unwind after a busy day of school. Games, tree climbing, seed sowing, art in nature, and good old fashioned fun! I'll scoop kids on the front porch of CBES at dismissal. If you attend another school, you can be dropped off at 2:40. Pick up is at 5:30. If it rains, we bake, play, and craft around the kithen table indoors.

Digging in the Dirt

At Wild Earth Wonder, we will dig below the surface and discover what lives beneath the soil. We will learn what makes soil healthy and rich for abundant harvests.

Global Awareness

Spending time outdoors invites us to observe garden insects and birds in their natural environment. Where do they go in the winter? How far does a hummingbird or butterfly travel?

Nature's Helpers

We will explore how all the creatures in the garden are necessary and need each other to thrive. There are many symbiotic relationships in nature. How does this work? Do the trees need us as we need them?

Cultivating the Earth

What does it mean to cultivate a space? The Earth needs cultivating, much like our minds need cultivating. How are we related to the soil we grow our food in? Do we want clean, healthy soil just like we want clear and healthy minds?

Guests & Pests

We will learn how to invite beneficial garden guests and how to deter garden pests. Setting boundaries is an important part of gardening. Wonder friends will learn how to apply boundary-setting in their everyday lives.

Seeds & Harvesting

Wonder friends will learn when and how to sow seeds. We will use the seasons as our planting and growing guides. What we plant in one season, we harvest in another.

My son absolutely loves going to Mrs. Hahn’s after-school camp. It’s a place where he can truly be a kid - exploring, playing, and learning in the great outdoors. Mrs. Hahn has such a special way of encouraging curiosity and joy through hands-on activities and unstructured playtime. He comes home every day dirty, sweaty, and grinning from ear to ear, already asking when he gets to go back. As a mom, there is nothing better than knowing your child is happy, active, and thriving.
